It is no secret that I am a big fan of drapery! Functionality and luxury are two words that come to mind when I think about window coverings of any kind. Though the main purposes of drapery are to provide privacy from your home and to protect your furnishings from the sun, they are also a way to enhance the overall space both visually and acoustically. Use your drapery to bring in a fun print or trim, enhance your interior with a vibrant color or provide a simple, or create a soft, neutral backdrop for your interior.
Art and accessories are great ways to share your story throughout your home. But have you ever thought about using lighting? There are so many cool and unique lighting fixtures that you can use to tell your story and elevate the furnishing design. So whether you love traditional, large-scale or contemporary style lighting, there’s definitely a statement light for you.
January has been super busy! Between catching up from the Holiday break (and the snow/ice days), project installations and working on some new collaborations, this month has just flown by. We’ve also discovered many new sources of inspiration this month. All the new collections at Dallas Market and the introduction of the new color of the year (hello, Ultra Violet!) are making our design hearts happy. We’re so excited to share some of the things we’ve been inspired by this month with you!
In any bedroom, the bed is the focal point. But when it comes to creating the perfect bed, many people tend to overlook one thing – the pillows! There are many different shapes and sizes of decorative throw pillows – square pillows, rectangular lumbars, Euro shams and bolster pillows…So how do you determine which size works best for your bed? And the answer is that it all really depends on the bed size.
January is all about getting a fresh start, finding new sources of inspiration and learning about all the new up and coming products in the design world. Designing kids playrooms is an absolute joy! Children are so invested in the spaces that are theirs, and they’re never afraid to play with bold colors and whimsical accessories. Maybe I’m just a kid at heart, but children make the perfect design clients.

So whether you like to layer patterns with solid colors or other prints, they allow for you to make as bold or as subtle of a statement as you like.
Rugs play a big part in our interiors. Whether you choose a neutral or bold color, they can be a statement piece or a subtle compliment to the furnishings. No matter what rug we source, it has to match our client’s lifestyle and be beautiful, practical and suitable for everyday use. Ranging from modern to boho, to feminine and antique – here are a few of the rugs we absolutely love!
Physical walls used to determine the furniture layout of a room, but architectural designs have since evolved to include more open spaces. I love an open space plan because it gives you the opportunity to create various layouts using sectionals, sofas and lounge chairs! The position of each piece determines how the room flows and what the vibe of the room will be. So whether you want one large open space or one with a smaller space within, you have the flexibility to make it your own!
