Our clients have a love of glamour, travel, and accessibility. They wanted a space that was luxurious, yet practical – one that their family could grow into while staying true to their roots. So when it came to designing their home, there was only one thing that came to mind…Global Glamour.
Do you remember when it was a huge faux pas to wear white after Labor Day or when your shoes had to match your bag? It sounds so silly now because people don’t really follow these rules anymore, but there really was a time when ladies strictly followed those guidelines. Fortunately, the fashion industry has evolved and women are now dressing for their personal taste rather than following the rules.
Happy New Year and welcome 2018! Although we love the holidays, the anticipation of a brand new year starting has got us feeling refreshed and ready to get back to work. Let me say that 2017 was a fantastic year, but I have a feeling that 2018 will have just as many exciting projects and gorgeous photoshoots. But before we get started on all the new projects we have coming up, let’s take a quick look back at some of the major highlights of 2017.
Whether you’re moving into a new home or just updating your current, creating a relaxing space in a large room is a fun challenge. A large room means you have a lot of space to work with, which is always exciting! However, one of the biggest challenges of a large room is selecting the perfect sectional that fits like a glove within the space. Sectionals need to be comfy, but not too bulky. They should be a sleek, luxurious and a livable gathering spot for your family.
Mirrors are so much more than a reflective surface in which you check your appearance. While they are great for a quick glance at your lipstick on your way out the door or the application of a full face of makeup, they can also become a focal point of your room. They add depth and dimension and bounce around a room’s light like nobodies business. Added bonus: mirrors with fab frames add texture, detail, and color to a space too!
Renovations are always exciting! Large-scale remodels are one of our specialties and they allow for us to breathe new life into an older home. In this project reveal, we’re delving the details behind a lovely traditional home with gorgeous natural light and great bones.
The word “home” has a million meanings. It may be your place for relaxing or entertaining. Maybe it is the concept of time spent with friends and family. No matter what comes to mind when you think of home, there’s one important thing that is a constant: YOU!
The holiday season is here and another fabulous year is coming to a close. There have been so many wonderful memories and exciting opportunities that this year has brought, but there’s one in particular that stands out in my mind: Working with Dec My Room. This unique and outstanding charity was founded by Susan Plank and her daughter Kendall in August 2007 (the same year as Ohorona24.in.ua was founded!). The organization works with volunteers (like the team at Ohorona24.in.ua!) to shop and decorate a child’s hospital room at Texas Children’s Hospital. They turn what may have been a sterile space into a more cozy, personalized home-away-from-home.
Interior Design is always evolving. The industry itself expands and experiments, creating strong looks and philosophies like mid-century modern or shabby chic. And just as traditional begins to mesh with contemporary and formal with casual chic, your own style matures over your lifetime. So how do you keep up? Well, that’s where we come in! It’s our job (and specialty!) to help steer you in the right direction and find a style that is unique, timeless and classically you.
When you do the first walkthrough of a house – especially in a not so “brand new” home – you can never really be sure of what you’ll find. Sometimes you stumble on hidden windows or a sunken room. And sometimes you find two toilets with a mirrored design…where you can see directly through the shower. Strange right?!
