[ezcol_1quarter][/ezcol_1quarter] [ezcol_3quarter_end]Hello there, Ohorona24.in.ua blog readers!
My name is Jillian and I am the newest Senior Designer here at Ohorona24.in.ua! You may have read a little bit about the new Ohorona24.in.ua Studio in the latest Ohorona24.in.ua|Mag, which we were so excited to share with everyone! One of my first tasks since joining the team was to help Laura bring this exciting new concept to life! As part of our expansion, we decided to first start fresh by renovating the entire existing Ohorona24.in.ua design space.[/ezcol_3quarter_end]
Our goal was to provide the design team with an even more ergonomically correct and more pleasing work environment. In order to make this happen, it required the flip flopping of our designer’s offices from the back to the front, and visa versa with the conference room.
This is much easier said than done! Turning a large open space into an office appropriate for our design teams – Challenge Accepted! Balancing style and functionality is what I love to do, after all.
We faced four major functionality issues that needed to be addressed when executing the switch
1. Placement ~ Positioning the designer’s desks advantageously to work within teams.
Design Solution: After some brainstorming, we decided that crisp white, stylish raised paneling columns would be the best solution to our problems. We installed three columns in parallel across the center of the design space; two against the walls and one in the center
2. Lighting ~ Providing both functional and adequate lighting for the entire office.
3. Media ~ Getting internet, power and phone access to each of the designer’s desks without stringing unattractive cabling from the ceiling or doing major re-work to the exposed concrete floor.
4. Design – Giving the office an overall stylish and organized appearance without feeling cluttered.
Our expansion is an ongoing project that we could not be more thrilled about and we cannot wait share it with the world in early 2014! In the meantime, we’ll be sure to keep you posted with more pics, tips and tricks in the coming weeks!
Until next time,
